Earlier this week an exposition opened in the MoMu (aka Antwerp’s Modemuseum or Fashion Museum) and we from Toys 4 Boys were cordially invited to attend the preview opening the day before the retrospective officially started.

This honour befell us mainly because the hirsute designer has included a few of our products in his fashionable walk down memory lane. As part of the exhibition, a “wall of inspirational influences” has been set up, featuring film clips, photographs, fabrics & a collection of very diverse objects, all of which have influenced Van Beirendonck in his creations. A little while ago, the man himself came by the store to select a few items to be placed in this wall. We won’t tell you what they were, but if you decide to visit the MoMu, we’re sure that you’ll be able to pick them out. Feel free to come tell us if you do, and let us know what you thought of the avant-la-modish spectacle.
